So much for helping.

Anyway, the introduction of a new coffee machine at our skool. However, it was soon found out that there were no cups in the machine (a vital part, eh?). So, I decided to do a good deed, and put a sign warning others of this. I tore a sheet of paper out of my book, and wrote, "NO CUPS! DO NOT USE!" in big(gish) letters. I stood back to admire my work. I had placed it in the retrieving part of the machine, as it wouldn't stand up.
However...
As soon as I had placed the sign, 2 people walked up, handling moneys. They saw the sign, looked confused, and LAUGHED. Other people walked by, looking at the sign, sniggering and looking in such a way that it is patronising for me to watch.
I thought I was doing a good deed, and instead everyone looks down on it.
I don't think I'll ever help another person again.

They probably weren't laughing at the sign but at the stupidity of the staff who put the machine there with no cups whatsoever. You have to admit that is pretty funny considering it's a grammar school and they can't do a simple thing like putting the correct equipment in a coffee machine. Anyway the machine was dirty and the chocolate had maggots in it...
The chocolate had maggots in it?? Wow. And I was gonna have hot chocolate... I didn't because I have a fear of coffee machines (I don't know, either), but not a phobia.
Maybe? Maybe they were laughing at the staff? Good point, but I thought they would sigh or swear in such cases. I don't know.
(I think someone actually did try to use the machine, despite my sign, because there was chocolate powder on it the next day!!)
